At Allegion, the security of your account and personal information is our top priority. To enhance protection against unauthorized access and ensure compliance with the latest security standards, we are introducing a mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA) process for logging into Allegion apps. This additional layer of security will help safeguard your account while maintaining a seamless user experience.
Summary of the Changes:
Mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):
Starting in early to mid-October, all users will be required to enable MFA when logging into Allegion apps.Available MFA Methods:
You will need to select one of the following as your second authentication method:Authenticator App (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator): A secure app that generates one-time passcodes.
Phone Authentication: Receive a one-time passcode via text message or a voice call.
What You Need to Do:
During login, you will be prompted to set up MFA if you haven’t already.
Follow the on-screen instructions to choose and activate your preferred method.
How to Set Up an Authenticator App:
If you choose to secure the account through an authenticator app, below is a brief tutorial that you may consider watching. Please note that while there are many authenticator apps, Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator apps are quite popular.
Key Dates:
This change will be mandated starting early to mid-October 2025.
We recommend setting up MFA as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions to your access.
Why This Matters:
Mandating MFA ensures that your account is protected with an additional layer of security, making it significantly harder for unauthorized users to gain access, even if your password is compromised.
